8 Best Photo Spots at Disney Springs

Disney Springs is one of Walt Disney World’s great offerings, and the best part is that it’s FREE to enter! Disney Springs not only offers a range of shops, restaurants, and entertainment offerings, but also has a great variety of photo opportunities throughout the retail, dining, and entertainment district! This guide narrows them down to the 8 best photo spots at Disney Springs and where to find them!

What is Disney Springs?

Previously known as Downtown Disney, the area received a major 3-year transformation that was completed in 2016 (with the official name change to “Disney Springs” occurring in 2015). This retail, dining, and entertainment district is home to four distinct “neighborhoods” (Town Center, Marketplace, The Landing, and West Side), each of which come together to make up the backstory and themed design of Disney Springs. At Disney Springs, guests can enjoy everything from live music to delicious food to amazing shopping (on top of limited-time seasonal events!) from the 150+ shopping and dining venues that call Disney Springs home. Before your visit, be sure to check out the guide on 25 Fun Things to Do at Disney Springs.

8 Great Photo Spots at Disney Springs

Disney Springs certainly has a plethora of photo opportunities throughout its four neighborhoods, but these are the 8 best photo spots at Disney Springs you should take advantage of during your visit!

Photo Spot 1: Orange Bird Mural

Orange Bird mural at Disney Springs

Orange you glad this one is first on the list? The Orange Bird Mural at Disney Springs was added in 2019 and certainly gets the peel of approval! Located next to Erin McKenna’s Bakery in The Landing, this bright and cheerful mural has become a popular photo spot for guests.

For Orange Bird fans (like myself!), the Orange Bird Mural at Disney Springs is just one of five Orange Bird photo opportunities at Walt Disney World, so be sure to check out my guide on Where to Find Orange Bird Photo Opportunities at Walt Disney World, as well as the full outfit details on my 1950s-Style Orange Bird Outfit.

Photo Spot 2: Teacup

The teacup in DisneyStyle is a cute spot for a photo!

Celebrate your unbirthday in (Disney) style with a teacup photo! Located inside of the DisneyStyle shop in Disney Springs’ West Side neighborhood, guests are welcome to step inside the yellow teacup reminiscent of those on the Mad Tea Party ride in Magic Kingdom. Inside the teacup, you can pose like you are spinning or just have a fun, casual photo!

Photo Spot 3: Aerophile Balloon

Don’t let this fun photo opportunity float away! This custom-made, hand painted balloon offers a unique backdrop for photos, whether it’s on the ground or in the air.

For photos with the Aerophile balloon while it’s on the ground, I recommend the walkway along West Side Lakefront Walk, where you can take unobstructed photos with the balloon due to its positioning over the water. While the helium balloon is in the air, I recommend the start of the bridge near Planet Hollywood or the small seating area near Wetzel’s Pretzels, where you can get the waterway and bridge in the background as well. (The waterway usually has a fountain going, as well!) An additional great photo spot with the balloon is the bridge next to Enzo’s Hideaway.

Photo Spot 4: Brickley the Sea Serpent

Here be dragons! In front of The LEGO Store at Disney Springs is Brickley the Sea Serpent, a giant LEGO statue in the waterway that is over 50 feet long! Brickley has proven to be a popular spot for photos. Time the photo right and you can also get the Rainforest Cafe volcano “erupting” in the background!

Photo Spot 5: Springs Waterway

Disney Springs lives true to its name with the beautiful springs that run through the area! Because of its massive size, there are plenty of spots to get photos with the gorgeous blue water, including the 5 bridges that pass over the water and the walkways that encircle it. One of my favorite spots is the dock near D-Luxe Burger!

Photo Spot 6: World of Disney Storefront

I love a good storefront photo and the World of Disney is no different! The entrance with Stitch standing over the “World of Disney” sign is a popular photo spot (which you can find on the side near Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop); just be careful… Stitch spits!

In addition to the Stitch photo op, another great photo opportunity with World of Disney in the background is the entrance near Amorette’s Patisserie. Instead of a photo directly in front of it, however, I recommend actually going in front of the fountain (in front of The Daily Poutine) in order to have both the fountain and storefront in the background of your photo!

Photo Spot 7: Greetings from Disney Springs Mural

There’s no better way to say “Wish you were here!” then with a photo with the postcard-style “Greetings from Disney Springs” mural! This photo spot can be found on the wall outside of Disney PhotoPass Studio.

Photo Spot 8: Disney PhotoPass Studio

A visit to Disney Springs wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Disney PhotoPass Studio! Inside the studio, you can take advantage of backgrounds and props for FREE, but will need to purchase a Memory Maker package in order to download the photos. However, it offers a great opportunity to take some magical photos!
